Comments
A powerful split record by French masters Michel Magne and Michel Legrand, which yields no results even with extensive research. The tracks are taken from the original soundtracks.
The highlight is Theme of the Outlaw (B-5). The soundtrack itself is extremely rare and commands a high price when found. Furthermore, it includes a killer tune from the soundtrack. This is a masterpiece of fast-paced jazz-rock, with horns and organ relentlessly driving the energy.

On the Legrand side, it also features the popular song The Windmills of Your Mind (A-2, instrumental version) from The Umbrellas of Cherbourg, and a mid-tempo version of the title track (A-4, without scat) from Legrand's rarest work, La Piscine (The Swimming Pool). It also includes many other standout jazzy numbers and superb performances.
Individually, these tracks would likely be prohibitively expensive. The record shows little sign of having been played, so the condition is excellent. This is a great value record, perfect for DJ sets. It's a record that rarely surfaces.
